Dear Diary, (February 2002)

As months go, February wasn't particularly noteworthy. We spent hours and hours (and then more hours) learning about networking so our computers could share files, printers and the internet connection. Safely. Firewalls and proxy servers... new, but not particularly exciting, things to learn. It's great when it works! Sick the second half of the month, I stayed home some, dragged through the rest, trying to keep my head above water. I spent an extraordinary amount of time watching bad TV, putting our new satellite TV service to good use. Not all of it was bad... I watched every episode of M*A*S*H ever made... and discovered the wonders of RFDTV (Rural Farm Delivery for those not in the know). I pass on Big Joe's Polka Fest but love all the horse programming. And speaking of horses, as ususal, the highlight of the month, involved them. Allison and Claudette brought Taj and Izzy up for horsey rides. Both Babe and Katie did their duty but Babe was the star, doing what Babe truly does best. She is so sweet and passive. And big. Vaiva says she is like "riding a couch". Such fun! last • next
